By 2020, We See Us Amongst The Top 3 Branded And Premium PPE Suppliers


We spoke to Mr. Suvabrata Paul, GM, Euro Safety, to have a glimpse of their journey over the years in increasing OSH awareness in India and across the globe, the new and innovative products launched by them in the Indian market, their marketing strategy for 2019 to increase OSH outreach in India and abroad, and their views on the OSH India expo and conference and the work done by them in improving OSH awareness across South Asia.

1. Please tell us about your journey over the years in increasing OSH awareness in India and across the globe.

The journey so far has been really exciting. It’s been a great experience for us and a rewarding too. We are a relatively new entrant and it took us little time to understand the dynamics of this domestic market. Now we are on strong foothold with Pan-India coverage by our distribution network of 55+ dealers, 350+ channel partners and associates with 220+ Product SKUs and a strong techno-marketing team of 25 personnel. For the last 3 years, we had clocked a CAGR of 30%+ on a Y-o-Y basis and we hope to continue with this same momentum for the coming years too with an aggressive marketing strategy, new product launches and by forming strategic partnerships with our suppliers and vendor-partners. We are investing heavily in these fronts to stay ahead of competition and to achieve our mission of being in the top 3-league of branded PPE suppliers in the domestic market.

In the Global arena, Euro Safety is already a preferred partner-supplier to many of the customers. With export footprint in more than 25+ countries and strategic alliances with world’s leading brands, Euro Safety has made a niche slot for themselves when it comes to PPE market.

With over 2000 people working in the organization, Euro Safety is an ISO and SA compliant organization. We are an award winning and one of Asia’s leading PPE manufacturers.  With more than 40 years of footwear manufacturing experience, Euro Safety is one of the most globally recognised shoe making conglomerates. With in-house testing labs, Euro Safety is regularly testing every development in raw materials and final shoe to maintain consistency and standard compliances. We have been awarded and recognized for our efforts multiple times by the Government of India and other judicial bodies.  

2. What are some of the new and innovative products you have proudly launched in the Indian market?

Design innovation is the buzz word of the industry as of now. We are committed to provide ergonomically designed products for better comforts to industries at a competitive price and without any compromise on the quality aspects. Our R&D activities evolve around designing of more efficient and user-friendly products in compliance with the stringent global norms. As an integrated key player in the domestic market-place, Euro Safety has launched and extended its product line in all verticals of PPE, namely in Hand protection range (with the launch of specialised gloves Kyorene®), Feet protection (by extending its reach to each and every application that modern industries need) to brand extension with the launch of Canvas Club® footwear range.

  As per the vision of the company, we would like to be in the top league amongst the quality PPE providers in the Indian sub-continent. As a part of that, horizontal and vertical product-line extensions are a regular "to-do" things at Euro Safety and we are hopeful that with the launch new product(s) lined up in this fiscal, we would go a step closer to our commitment of making the workplaces more safer and better.

3. Please tell us about your marketing strategy for 2019 to increase OSH outreach in India and abroad.

With more and more industries coming up in India, we see a rise in the need for PPE for workplaces. Euro Safety is strongly focusing on providing PPE to the Indian market for the next decade. We are producing double of what we were producing last year for India as we are forecasting a significant rise in the demand for such equipment in the domestic sector. Our vision is to provide best in class quality products to the domestic market to ensure a safer and accident-free workplace.

By 2020, we see us amongst the top 3 branded and premium PPE suppliers in terms of our geographic reach, product offerings, client acquisition and of course in terms of sales turnover in the Indian sub-continent. Our product development and marketing team are working round the clock and in sync to offer the right product to the customer. In our case, our customer is different from the user. We not only focus on marketing the product efficiently to the decision makers and purchasers, but also develop the product according to those users who work 8-hour shifts and rely on the quality, durability and comfort of the product.  

4. Please tell us about your views on the OSH India expo and conference and the work done by them in improving OSH awareness across South Asia.


The experience was good and overwhelming. The initiatives takes by UBM to connect safety professionals across the country and creating a platform where buyers and sellers can meet, discuss and explore new possibilities, are appreciable. OSH has already become an event of significant importance when it comes to safety and PPE marketplace. We hope to see it doing better shows in the time to come and spread the message of adhering safety norms across workplaces in a much larger scale.
