PPEs made by Mallcom are widely accepted and used in various industries across South Asia

We spoke to Mr. Giriraj Mall, Executive Director, Mallcom (India) Limited to understand Mallcom’s focus areas in the year 2020, new safety products they are going to launch and promote this year, new innovations in safety from their end, industries they plan to target to increase the outreach of their products and their views on the OSH India Expo and role played by it in enhancing awareness around occupational safety and health.

Please tell us about Mallcom’s focus areas in the year 2020. There is a big gap between supplies of certified and specified PPEs and the users. Mallcom will continue to play a pivotal role in bridging this gap though awareness and creating value chain dealers and channel partners to meet the last mile connect.

Which new safety products are you going to launch and promote this year?

Next two years will see new products from Mallcom family. We are adding manufacturing and sub-contracting facilities for various hand protection items like latex and PVC gloves. A new exciting range of ear protection PPEs will shortly be available to our end users. An improvised rain wear and gum boot will soon be hitting the marketplace as we sign off.

What new innovations in safety can we expect this year?

Mallcom is in growth trajectory of product and process innovation. Major emphasis and good investment is being made in product innovations to make a delightful user experience. Comfort and aesthetic will play an important role without compromising the standards and safety that a PPE is intended to provide



Which industries you plan to aggressively target to increase the outreach of your products?

PPEs made by Mallcom is widely accepted and used in various industries across South Asia, Though the products are easily available to the organised industries through tendering and well defined procurement system. Mallcom would like to focus on un-organised SMEs that are backbone of Indian economy to have an access to affordable PPEs to their employees.

As always, your advice and valuable feedback for OSH India safety Expo.

OSH is playing a vital role in providing a platform to all stakeholders to interact in common place. Their strategy of having an expo in different cities in India apart form a regular in Mumbai too is giving them a flavour of national exhibition. We would look to see them offering these exhibitions for 3, if not 4 days in row. Also to provide a uniform and fair offerings to the exhibitors alike.
