Safety Heroes campaign is for those unsung heroes who took the mantle of occupational safety & health ensuring the safety of their workers, teams, organizations by taking necessary steps and help others lead by example.

Narendra Patil, Sr Executive – EHS, Swarovski India Pvt Ltd had taken measures to counter COVID Challenges ensuring safety of their workers / teams at the workplace and became the safety hero of the month.

Key challenges being to keep businesses afloat as well as manage safety and security at work. This is true for both those able to work and those who will need to prepare for an eventual return. The theme of this year’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work is Stop the pandemic: Safety and health at work can save lives, which recognizes the many unprecedented challenges that organizations face at this time and raises awareness of the importance of effective occupational health and safety.

What kind of OSH strategies/measures you adopted or solutions you have implemented to overcome the Occupational Safety & Health challenges from COVID?

1. Trained all employees well.

2. Rewarded employees for safe behavior.

3. Partner with occupational clinicians in case of COVID positive

5. Kept and maintained things clean.

6. Make sure employees have the separate and right tools and have regular equipment inspections.
