Informa Markets in India, the organisers of the immensely popular expo on occupational safety and health, OSH India, celebrated National Safety Day on March 4, 2021 in their New Delhi office. As part of the celebrations, Group Director and Digital Head, Mr. Pankaj Jain and Project Director OSH India, Mr. Prashant Jain led the team physically in the New Delhi office and virtually across the Mumbai office to initiate the celebrations. The OSH India team cut a helmet-shaped cake to mark the occasion and renewed their commitment towards occupational safety and health across all walks of life.
National Safety day is celebrated on March 4th every year to propagate and create awareness among the general public about the various safety measures and hygienic measures that people need to inculcate in their lifestyle.
However, the commemoration of National Safety Day is based on a theme, every year. Hence, the theme for National Safety Day 2021 is "Sadak Suraksha (Road Safety)." Initially, the campaign started as a single-day celebration on March 4, but now the celebration has spread over a week from March 4-10. The National Safety Week is observed to highlight the importance of Safety in all spheres of life to prevent accidents due to a lack of awareness or lack of attention at various times of our lives.

The Ministry of Labour, Government of India set up the National Safety Council of India (NSC) on March 4, 1966. National safety day started in which year? After the establishment of the National Safety Council, the National Safety Day was celebrated for the first time in the year 1972. National Safety Council is a non-profit, self-financing and tripartite apex body at the national level.
