OSH Outlook for North India

India's occupational safety and health (OSH) market is projected to reach US$ 17.86 billion by 2030 with a CAGR of 11.1%. A growing economy and world’s largest democracy, India has a population exceeding 1.4 billion. Out of this huge number, around 64% form the working age group. The occupational safety and health (OSH) scenario in India is complex as unprecedented growth and progress go hand in hand with challenges such as huge workforce in unorganized sector, bulk of the labour working in SMEs, meager public spending on health, inadequate implementation of existing laws and legislations, lack of reliable OSH data, shortage of OSH professionals, multiplicity of statutory controls, apathy of stakeholders and infrastructure problems.
