This year’s winners were announced at the 2018 Verdantix Summit, and the award recognizes organizations and their software and service suppliers for their innovative use of technology to improve EHS processes, systems and metrics.

JCI adopted ProcessMAP’s HSE Platform in 2016 to enable the company’s global safety and environment performance business processes. ProcessMAP’s platform covered >1500 sites across 74 countries, and more than 10 different languages, creating process standardization, actionable insight as well as maintaining global compliance. JCI’s HSE platform included 12 applications, 10 system integrations and helps protect over 122,000 employees across the globe. Through its partnership with ProcessMAP, JCI successfully incorporated HSE practices and systems into a global solution that enables excellence in both safe work place and environment and sustainability, two key principals of JCI’s manufacturing system.

In the past 2 years, JCI has achieved considerable improvement in its safety performance, whereby the platform played a significant role in collecting, analyzing and tracking EHS incident data and actions in a standardized format across the organization. In addition, the platform served to create a centralized and standardized enterprise-wide solution for the preventative monitoring and tracking of compliance actions and audits.

JCI won in the manufacturing category.

“Johnson Controls was selected by the four independent judges as the winner of a 2018 Verdantix HSE Innovation Award in the manufacturing category, by unanimous decision,” said David Metcalfe, Verdantix CEO and chair of the Innovation Awards panel.

“We are very proud to have been able to partner with JCI on this important global initiative,” said Dave Rath, CEO at ProcessMAP. “JCI’s success underscores the growing strategic role HSE and technology solutions serve within corporations to meet their operational excellence objectives.”

Finalists were selected from a list of nominees and category winners were voted on by an independent judging panel.

About ProcessMAP Corporation

ProcessMAP Corporation is the industry’s first enterprise data intelligence cloud software for Risk, Health, and Safety management, empowering organizations to protect people, assets, and profits.
